About
My name is Giulianna Misasi
Welcome! I’m Giulianna — a voice and piano teacher, performer, and mentor who’s passionate about helping students grow with confidence and creativity.
I work with students of all ages and levels to build strong musical foundations and explore their full artistic potential. Whether you're learning to sing with freedom and control, or gaining confidence at the piano, my goal is to create a personalized, supportive learning experience that inspires growth and joy in music-making.
In voice lessons, I focus on healthy technique through breath management, registration balance, resonance, and articulation—the building blocks for expressive, sustainable singing across styles. I work with classical singers, musical theatre performers, and contemporary commercial music artists (including pop, jazz, folk, and singer-songwriters), helping each student connect with the story behind the music. In piano lessons, I guide students through a structured and creative approach to rhythm, technique, reading, and artistry. I tailor lessons to your goals, experience level, and learning style—whether you’re just beginning or looking to deepen your skills.
I also offer a group class called Little Ears, Big Sounds designed for young children and their caregivers. This interactive music experience introduces foundational skills like rhythm, pitch recognition, and listening through fun songs and movement activities — perfect for little learners beginning their musical journey.
I began teaching in 2011 and have worked with hundreds of students in both private and group settings in Canada and the U.S. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and an Artist Diploma from Western University, as well as an Artist Diploma from The Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory of Music.
As a performer, I’ve sung roles across North America and Europe, including Geraldine from A Hand of Bridge, Constance Fletcher in the Mother of us All, The Jester in a new opera called Forever hold your peace, and most recently, the Nurse in Breath of Life with Lone Star Lyric in Houston, Texas. This summer I will perform in chorus with The Gilbert and Sullivan society in the production of Iolanthe.
Lessons are available both online and in person. Whether you're preparing for an audition or simply want to explore music at your own pace, I’ll meet you where you are and support your progress every step of the way.
When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll find me exploring the city, dancing, cooking, spending time with family and friends, or catching up with loved ones on long video calls.
I believe music is meant to be shared—and I’d love to help you discover the joy of making music, too.
Let’s make music together—reach out to book a video call with me!
