Who I Teach

​

I work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced singers refining their technique and artistry. My teaching includes both voice and piano, with a focus on classical foundations that support versatility across styles such as musical theatre and pop. Lessons are primarily in person, with online options available when needed.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every musician deserves the opportunity to sing and play with freedom, confidence, and authenticity.
To become a more skilled, expressive, and confident musician, you need:

• Awareness and control of your physical and musical coordination

• A solid foundation of technical skills

• An understanding of musical expression and style across genres

• Opportunities to apply skills through performance and creative exploration

• Assess current skills and goals

• Cultivate breath, body, and hand awareness

• Strengthen technical coordination

• Explore expressive phrasing and artistry

• Apply skills through repertoire and performance

This approach helps students connect technique to expression and build a sustainable, fulfilling relationship with music.

What Lessons Include

​

• Weekly private lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes) in voice or piano

• Personalized practice guidance designed to fit each student’s lifestyle and learning style

• Ongoing support and communication via email for questions, encouragement, and progress check-ins

• Two studio concerts per year that give students the opportunity to perform, grow stage confidence, and celebrate their progress
